Standard Casket Size

The inside size of the casket is 192cm long and 52 cm wide with a depth of slightly less than 30cm.

Lightly sanded timber ready for you to personalise the finish to be a bold or as simple as you desire.

Deciding on a casket

  • Yes you can. Each state and territory has their own particular rules so we recommend you discuss your intentions with your Funeral Director.

  • At this point the lining of the casket is a linen/rayon blend which some natural burial grounds may not accept.

  • Technically it is a coffin but we know the word ‘coffin’ is not for everyone. We like to think of it as just a simple pine box.

Creating a Casket

  • The finish is completely up to you and you may choose to keep it simple or go wild. Some people who feel more confident have also changed the handles or lining that we have provided. Some states require you to have a waterproof lining in the casket which you should keep in mind.

  • A Phillips head screw driver or power driver, a hammer, about 20 pegs, a drop sheet and a clean cloth.

  • Of course

  • Yes. The casket is designed for someone who is comfortable building flatpack furniture to build. You may like to ask a friend who is handy, hire a handyman or contact your local Men’s Shed. It should take 2-3 hours to build not including the finishes.

  • We ship Australia wide.

  • 192cm long and 52cm wide. The internal depth is slightly less than 30cm.

  • As we are a small Australian business we do not have alternative sizes yet but may do in the future.
